Turning 4

Kaylie turned four on the 15th of January. She asked me if she could have decorations for her birthday so in the night we decorated her room. She woke up to balloons and streamers she loved it. (Tre thinks we have to do that for his birthday as well). Later on we took her to the store and let her pick out her presants. She picked two little girl barbies for her doll house. And she then told dad that she wanted to get her nails done. So of course daddy said yes.
She picked out a nice red color.
She loved her nails and they even put flowers on each of her middle nails.
We had cake and ice cream at moms like always.

She asked for a little mermaid cake this year and this was my attempt. Thank goodness for ariel shaped pans.

Kaylie also asked to go to Red Robin for dinner. She knows that they will sing and put balloons behind your ears. I'm pretty sure that was the reason for the request, there is nothing like being the center of attention. Gotta love this girl.

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. The kids loved every minute of the holiday season. The couldn't get enough. They were excited to leave reindeer food outside, leaving cookies for santa, watching santa's progress on the santa tracker website, laying in bed and hearing sleighbells outside- - - they were too cute. I'm not sure who loves it more them or me watching them get so excited. Kue was the first one awake on Christmas morning and he layed in bed with me. He could see the kids sleeping and crawled and woke them up. We headed downstairs to open presents almost immediately. Kue didn't quite understand the whole wrapping paper thing. He was excited because Kaylie and Tre were so excited so he had a good time playing with whatever he wanted. After we were done opening presents we went to my mom and dad's for our traditional "Garbage Egg" breakfast. (my favorite) We then opened more presents from grandma and grandpa and aunties and uncles. We hung out the rest of the day and made dinner at moms and just enjoyed being with each other.

Here is a clip of the kids playing and opening presents. Kue was dancing to his musical toy.

Our tradition on Christmas Eve is to go to Grandpa and Grandma Johnsons.....Grandma makes lots of treats and then Grandpa narrates the nativity from the scriptures, while the kids act it out. He does a good job add-libbing in "princess's" (the angel) and "unicorns" (stable horse).....(the little girls know exactly what they want to be). At one point we thought we might have an alligator be a part of the nativity but then she was a happy with being a "princess". This is all the kids who took part- only 1 grandchild the rest are great-grandkids.
