First Day of School

Thursday was Tre's first day of Kindergarten. I kept wondering how he was going to do the first day and to my surprise he did absolutely wonderful. I myself probably had a harder time than he did. He was a little nervous and was holding my hand but as soon as we walked into the school he dropped my hand- he was too cool for mom. I guess my little boy is all grown up now. :( He was very concerned about whether dad would think his new school shirt was cool and he actually told me that the shoes I picked out for him wouldn't match his clothes so he went and picked a different pair. He is definately Benny's son.

This is Tre sitting and waiting for his teacher to start class. I have more pictures of the first day of school but they are on my camera and I got this one from my mom's cameras so I will post more later.

Hadley Jane Pettingill

Congrats to Steve and Zoe and their new baby girl, Hadley. Born Aug. 20, weighing in at 8 lbs and 11 oz. She is as cute as can be and you can tell that my children already love there new little cousin.

There is more than one way to ride a bike

When there is only one bike and two of you, you have to be creative so you both can get on. I'm just glad they weren't fighting and that they found a way to have fun together.

Going FISHING!!!

We went to the duck races in idaho falls yesturday and got to do all the fun kid activities. The highlight of the day though was fishing for trout with their bare hands. Tre actually caught about five fish but put them all back in the water.
They had all paid and were waiting for their turn to get in the pond to catch a fish.
Kaylie and Spencer both decided that this was something that they did not want to participate in
If you look really close you can actually see that Tre has a fish in his right hand (there were just to many people that I never really got a good picture of him holding one of his fish.)

Johnson Reunion

The Johnson Reunion was held this week at my grandma and grandpa's house. One of the activities was making family floats from a bag we picked randomly. Some how our family ended up with the polynesian bag. The idea behind our float was that Kaylie (Mahana) was an eight cow
wife. She sat on her thrown next to spencer while the rest of the grandkids including tre were little tiki people that walked next to the float.

Splash Park

I spent my first week back in Idaho doing volleyball camp. My mom had my kids the whole time and planned out fun things to do everyday. She took them shopping and spoiled them one day, she made jam with them, and took them to see kung fu panda. On the last day of my volleyball camp they came up to rexburg and I went with them to the splash park after my camp was done. Kaylie would stay around the outside of the park and Tre would go right in the action. He loved the water slides and the big bucket that would tip over on the very top of the playground.
The kids making jam. They actually helped grandma a ton but I still think she was crazy trying to make jam with a two year old and a five year old.

Home!!!

After three planes, 14 hours, and one car ride- we finally made it back to idaho. The kids were very sad to say goodbye to daddy but were also excited to go home. The kids were great the whole day, I couldn't have asked for them to be better. But thank goodness that day is over.
The pilots on our first flight were very nice and asked of the kids wanted to sit up front in the pilot's seats. They both thought that that was pretty cool, they talked about it for the rest of the day.

Each layover we had they were busy with coloring and toys, I was doing anything I could to keep them busy.

Mom are we there yet!!!
