Ho Ho Ho

Kue is getting the idea of santa this year, thanks to Tre and Kaylie. It's fun to see the kids so excited.

ward X-mas party

Our ward Christmas party was very fun. We ate lots of food of course and they had a cupcake bar for dessert. The kids thought that was fun to be able to decorate and top their cupcake with whatever they wanted.

Of course there was a nativity, and Tre was Joseph this year. I actually sewed that costume. With my moms help of course.... but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out.

Kaylie was an angel, along with the whole primary. She was excited to sing and practiced everyday. No matter where we were she was singing (even in the shopping cart at the store) She sang loud and beautifully.

Santa came and Kue walked straight up to him and cut right in front of the line. He held his hands up to him so santa picked him up. I think Kue saw the candy canes and that was all he cared about.

Kaylie came up to me after she got off santas lap and said "mom that santa is fake" I asked her why and she said "He told me he couldn't make a DS and the real santa can make anything"

Tre waited patiently in the end of the line and finally got his turn. He asked for a spy watch.

Bowling

After thanksgiving we went bowling with my family. The kids had a blast and want to go again soon.

Kaylie always uses the ramp... best invention ever.

Tre decided he was too old or too cool to use the ramp and bowled with out the ramp. He did farely well and had enough strength to it.

Trick-or-treat smell my feet

Halloween was so fun this year. Kue understood that knocking on doors got him candy. He loved it. He would run from house to house trying to keep up with Tre and Kaylie.

A dragon, skeleton, and Princess Tiana.

"ick-a-eat" Kue knew that was the magic word for candy.

Tre was not fond of his mask but he wore it anyways.

The first thing we did was a trunk-or-treat at the kids elementary school.

Jack-o-lantern

The monday before every halloween we go carve pumpkins at my moms house. This year Tre and Kaylie wanted to do most of it themselves. They traced all the designs onto their pumpkins and then Benny and I cut it out for them. They were so happy that they did most of it.

Tre picked out a wolf howling at the moon.

Kaylie wanted a princess castle.... suprise suprise.

Uncle Rico helped Kue do his. Kue was very helpful. Thanks Uncle Rico.

The kids and their pumpkins. :) So cute.

Flag Football

This was Tre's second year playing flag football. He did great. He is really starting to understand the game. He especially loved that Benny helped coach his team. He loves spending time with his dad.... and wanted to practice everyday.

Team Picture: Back row Benny, Isaac , Kellen , Tre, Given, Conner, Garrett, Coach Phippen
Front row Jarrett, Ty, Devin, Jayden, Jackson.
Good Job boys. They won almost all of their games and were smiling every minute of every game.

Tre did a good job on defense! Its hard to tell them that it's wrong to tackle when we will eventually tell them that it's what you want them to do in football. Good job Tre

School Time !!!!

Can this boy really be in second grade already? Holy Cow time sure flies. Tre is excited to see all his friends again and especially for "recess". It was a very rainy day though so they actually didn't have "outside" recess today so to quote tre "It was NOT a very good day mom"
Typical first day of school shot :)

He thought this picture was one to many.

This is the boys waiting for the bus, usually there are more boys but their mom's took them to school the first day. I asked Tre if he wanted me to take him and he said "UH I can go by myself!" Like duh mom. I'm not gonna lie it was hard for me to say ok and let him go.
Kaylie will be in preschool again, although she would like to think she is ready for kindergarten.
Of course she loved getting ready and taking pictures.

She is such a poser. She kept telling me to take more pics.

She also said I didn't need to walk her to school "I can do it myself"--granted school for her is right next door.

Fireworks in Vancouver

We got to spend the 4th of July in Vancouver this year. We went and bought some fireworks for the kids (kids meaning Benny), and did them by our apartment.

Benny, Asi and Tre trying to light their roman candles.

The boys all shot their candles at the same time.

We sat and watched from the side. Kue wasn't so into the loud fireworks. So he stayed on my lap most of the time.

Daddy got Kaylie her sparklers.

Kue once again did not like holding the sparkler, Benny held it and he stood back.
Although we missed the 4th celebration in Idaho Falls, we had a good time in Portland. We were all together...healthy and happy.

BBQ at Vancouver Lake

We are in Vancouver for the next month with Benny for work. Uncle Solo invited us to the Lake for a 4th of July BBQ.

Kue and Cambrie playing in the sand.

Kaylie played in the sand but didn't step more than two feet in the water.

Kue and Cambrie...they played and played and played. They couldn't get enough of the sand.

They had a little area marked off for the kids to swim. Tre spent lots of time in the water playing with King.

Uncle solo throws a mean BBQ. There was so much food.

The girls just relaxing enjoying the outdoors.

Boating with the Rockwoods

Benny came home for a few days to help drive us out to Portland. While he was home we went boating with Steph and Rod.

My boys with their rags on ready to hit the water.

Kaylie and Benny tubing.

Tre waiting patiently for his turn.

Kue even got a turn on the tube. He didn't want to be held at all. He wanted to stand up and hold himself. Every time Benny tried to hold him he would whine.

Tre and Benny tubing.... I think Tre could have stayed on it the whole time we were there. He also tried wake boarding but never got up. I'm just proud of him for wanting to try.

Kue loved riding in the boat. He was pretty content the whole time.
Thanks Steph and Rod for taking us and trying to teach Benny how to wake board. I wish I could have posted some of that. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.
