Boating with the Rockwoods

Benny came home for a few days to help drive us out to Portland. While he was home we went boating with Steph and Rod.

My boys with their rags on ready to hit the water.

Kaylie and Benny tubing.

Tre waiting patiently for his turn.

Kue even got a turn on the tube. He didn't want to be held at all. He wanted to stand up and hold himself. Every time Benny tried to hold him he would whine.

Tre and Benny tubing.... I think Tre could have stayed on it the whole time we were there. He also tried wake boarding but never got up. I'm just proud of him for wanting to try.

Kue loved riding in the boat. He was pretty content the whole time.
Thanks Steph and Rod for taking us and trying to teach Benny how to wake board. I wish I could have posted some of that. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

Fun Land

Every summer we take the kids to ride the rides at Tautphaus Park. They love it. Its usually one of the things we do for a grandma field trip day.

Hadley, Kue and Madison on the Train.

Tre and Sydney of course in the front.

Kaylie and Spencer.

Kue especially loved the airplanes. Tre was such a good big brother and let him ride with him.

As you can tell Kaylie also loves this ride.

Kaylie on the merry-go-round.

Kue didn't like the merry-go-round. He cried for most of the ride.

Pitching Machine

This is Tre's first year doing pitching machine. He is loving it. He has many friends on the team and really great coaches. My mom said it best "This actually resembles real baseball"

This was his very first game and his very first pitch. He did really great.

He got to play first base. His cousin Tiger fielded the ball and threw it to first. He caught it and tagged his base and got the guy out. Good play Tre and Tiger.
This was him running the bases after his first hit. He feels pretty cool with his own helmet and batting gloves that Grandma bought for him.
Playing Right Field..... he would even back up first base every time they threw it there. Good coaches teaching right things.

T-Ball T-Ball T-Ball

Our very first day of tball games was one to remember. Between my kids and my nieces and nephew there were five games to be played and they went 9:30, 10:30(Tre), 11:30, 12:45, and 1:30(Kaylie). Needless to say we packed up our lunch and planned to stay at the park all day. It was a very fun tiring day.

This is Tre's first bat for this Tball season. It was a good double.

This is how Kue spent the entire five hours we were at the park.......eating. Their wasn't a time that he didn't have a some sort of food in his hand.... chips, sandwich, fruit snack, apple, pretzel, anything he could get his hands on. Food and outside..... his two favorite things life couldn't be better.

Kaylie is starting her first year of tball and she is so happy to be grown up enough to play.
She played first base and catcher. She did actually make a play at first base, but she is still little enough that they don't do outs in this age group. She is so happy and loves tball.
Kaylie's first time at bat. If you got the chance to talk to her she would tell you that the shoes she is wearing make her run super fast. Thats what she was telling her base coach at the end of this clip.
