Of all the places to fall asleep
I left all the kids home with Benny one day and came home to find everyone asleep. Benny was on the couch with some basketball game on tv. (probably the lakers) Tre was on my bed. Kue was in his crib. I couldn't find Kaylie anywhere. So I panicked a little until I opened our bathroom door and found her like this. She had waited and waited for dad to come help her but since he was asleep he never heard her yelling "DADDY". She got tired of waiting.

Tre is seven
Wow my kids are growing up so fast. I look at Kue and remember when Tre was the same size. We love Tre so much. He is in first grade and is learning lots of new things. I love watching him figure things out. He is such a smart boy. He is very good. And he of course plays lots of sports.
Happy Birthday Tre, we love you.

Tre, Stephanie and my dad all have birthdays within five days of each other. We always celebrate them together.

Tre asked me for a transformer cake. This is as good as it gets.

Kue's Big Tongan Birthday Bash
The tongan culture celebrates 1st birthdays very very big. We love having big parties, so here is just a small slice of Kue's big day.

The birthday boy.

Everyone gathering before we started. Thankyou to all our family and friends who came and celebrated with us.

This was Kue's grand Birthday entrance. He knew he was super important.
Kaylie did a hula. She was a little nervous and shy but for her first time we are very proud of her. Our little cousin also did another hula but I had some trouble getting it to post. Thank you Kira for having your kids dance and do some entertainment.
Tre and Tiger did the Haka. This was a big deal because neither one of these boys wanted to be up there in front of everyone. But Tre was determined to do it for Kue. What a good big brother.

Kue is One
Really my baby is already one. What a blessing he has been to us. He came into this world pretty fast and furious but he is my most laid back child. He is almost always happy unless he is sick or hungry. We love him so much. Kaylie and Tre love to play with him and teach him things. Our family would definately not be the same with out him.

This is him now. The kids dressed him up and of course he loved it.

Half time show
I'm finally posting the Cheer routine that Kaylie and Lani did for the Gale half time show. They did so good. Ever since they went to cheer camp they made me practice with them everyday. Mommy doing cheers..... now that is true love. They were so excited to perform. (You will have to turn off our blog music in order to hear them better)
(I tried a million times to download their dance but Blogger doesn't seem capable of downloadign a five min. video sorry.) But here is their last cheer that they did.

Cheer Camp
Kaylie and Lani attended Cheer camp on Saturday. My two very good friends were running the camp and asked if Kaylie wanted to come. I figured Kaylie would say no but she didn't so I took the girls to camp and they loved every minute of it. Thankyou Kass and Lindsey for allowing the girls to come.

The girls were listening closely to instructions.
They were practicing there dance they will perform at the half time of the Gale basketball game (I will post there performance complete with a cheer.)

Turning 4
Kaylie turned four on the 15th of January. She asked me if she could have decorations for her birthday so in the night we decorated her room. She woke up to balloons and streamers she loved it. (Tre thinks we have to do that for his birthday as well). Later on we took her to the store and let her pick out her presants. She picked two little girl barbies for her doll house. And she then told dad that she wanted to get her nails done. So of course daddy said yes.
She picked out a nice red color.
She loved her nails and they even put flowers on each of her middle nails.
We had cake and ice cream at moms like always.

She asked for a little mermaid cake this year and this was my attempt. Thank goodness for ariel shaped pans.

Kaylie also asked to go to Red Robin for dinner. She knows that they will sing and put balloons behind your ears. I'm pretty sure that was the reason for the request, there is nothing like being the center of attention. Gotta love this girl.

Christmas 2010
We had a wonderful Christmas this year. The kids loved every minute of the holiday season. The couldn't get enough. They were excited to leave reindeer food outside, leaving cookies for santa, watching santa's progress on the santa tracker website, laying in bed and hearing sleighbells outside- - - they were too cute. I'm not sure who loves it more them or me watching them get so excited. Kue was the first one awake on Christmas morning and he layed in bed with me. He could see the kids sleeping and crawled and woke them up. We headed downstairs to open presents almost immediately. Kue didn't quite understand the whole wrapping paper thing. He was excited because Kaylie and Tre were so excited so he had a good time playing with whatever he wanted. After we were done opening presents we went to my mom and dad's for our traditional "Garbage Egg" breakfast. (my favorite) We then opened more presents from grandma and grandpa and aunties and uncles. We hung out the rest of the day and made dinner at moms and just enjoyed being with each other.

Tre and Kaylie opening presents.
Here is a clip of the kids playing and opening presents. Kue was dancing to his musical toy.

Our tradition on Christmas Eve is to go to Grandpa and Grandma Johnsons.....Grandma makes lots of treats and then Grandpa narrates the nativity from the scriptures, while the kids act it out. He does a good job add-libbing in "princess's" (the angel) and "unicorns" (stable horse).....(the little girls know exactly what they want to be). At one point we thought we might have an alligator be a part of the nativity but then she was a happy with being a "princess". This is all the kids who took part- only 1 grandchild the rest are great-grandkids.

Kaylie.....?!!!!!!!?
These were just to hilarious not to post....you may have to turn of our blog music to hear the music she is dancin too.
Disneyland/California Adventure
As part of our thanksgiving trip this year we all planned to go to Disneyland together. My Brother-in-law found a great deal on tickets (admission to disneyland, california adventure, and fast passes) for $50 per person. The kids were beyond excited and had a blast. We got there early and stayed until midnight. The kids were great even when they got tired. Kue just rolled around in the stroller all day and didn't mind one bit. The kids keep asking when we can go back they loved it there.

After we parked we had to ride a little train to get to the front gates.

Riding the train to the front gates.

The rockets were the first ride of the day.

Kaylie was blasting away at Zurg on the buzz light year ride.

The train around the park was a big hit....especially for our nephews who LOVE trains.

Benny and the Kids with The Queen of Hearts... We had to convince Kaylie that she saw a princess since this was the only one we saw that day. Once we told her she was a queen she was happy with that.

Uncle Will, Lani, and Kaylie rode the teacups three times..... the girls loved it.

Seeing Minnie was the highlight of the whole day for Kaylie.

Kaylie and Goofy

Tre and Goofy

California Adventure....we went back and forth from one park to the other all day.

Lani, Uncle Stan, Kaylie, Eli all riding the merry-go-round

They had the coolest Pixar Parade, with Toy Story, nemo, Incredibles, A Bugs Life, Cars, and Monsters Inc. It was the coolest parade.

Lightning Mcqueen.

At about 8 pm we sent all the grand kids except Tre home with Grandma and Grandpa. We then rode all the adult rides. This ride was the tower of terror...it takes you up high and then just drops you. Tre loves big rides and was so beyond happy that he got to stay with all the adults.

Stan, Tre, Benny, and Will before we got on the Indiana Jones ride.

Tre wanted to "drive" the Indiana Jones ride. He really thought he was driving. At one point the ride stopped and everyone was teasing him about breaking the car....He told me he felt bad and promised he didn't break it. I had to explain that the ride operators had stopped it...then he felt ok.

This is Tre's most favorite Uncle Will, once all the kids were gone they became riding buddies. Tre felt very important and loved being able to "hang" with uncle will.

This was a really fun trip for our family.... Many good memories were made.
